Catalytic Carbon Data Collection Center More about this later… But, first, what is Catalytic Carbon?

CC -- Simple, easy, cheap

Hydrogen at 1 LPM to 20 LPM Simple, easy, cheap

From any chemistry book: Aluminum and water Al + H 2 O = Al(OH) 3 + H 2 Aluminum hydroxide and hydrogen

From any chemistry book: Automatic separation of hydrogen and liquid Al + H 2 O = Al(OH) 3 + H 2 Stays in liquid Hydrogen bubbles

So…. Whats new? Catalytic Carbon Makes high LPM possible No electricity No electrolyte No corrosion

Aluminum + Water + CC = Hydrogen Al + H 2 O = Al(OH) 3 + H 2 Problem: Low reaction rate. Not much hydrogen output. Al + H 2 O + CC = CC + Al(OH) 3 + H 2 Solution: High reaction rate – lots of hydrogen. No electrical input, no electrolyte, no corrosion.

Car test, with hydrogen produced using CC 32% increase in gas mileage; first test run. Full report online at

Applications NOW High LPM makes possible new things: 1.Fuel for electrical generators 2.Fuel for heating 3.HOD fuel for cars & trucks

Hydrogen Concept Cars all use hydrogen tanks Jay Leno in the BMW Hydrogen-7 car. Runs on gasoline and/or hydrogen

The combined cruising range for the BMW Hydrogen 7 is around 425 miles with the gasoline tank (16.3 gal) contributing 300 miles and the hydrogen tank (17.6 lb) contributing 125 miles. Ref: HOD advantages: 1. No tank (Lower cost; better safety) 2. much more driving range.

HOD cars can be on the road now. No fueling stations needed. In Munich, the first public hydrogen fueling station is being built and will open in 2007, coinciding with the release of the BMW Hydrogen 7. Lessees of the BMW Hydrogen 7 will also be able to fuel up in Berlin, which has two liquid hydrogen fueling stations built as part of the Clean Air Partnership program. In the U. S., liquid hydrogen fueling stations are currently stationed in Washington D. C. and Oxnard, California plus there are several more additional mobile units that can also provide liquid hydrogen as needed. Ref:

Catalytic Carbon will be cheaper, pound-for-pound than bottled water. When Catalytic Carbon is in production, what will be the COST?

Anyone can have CC Order online:

Can this method be scaled up? No energy input needed after the liquid is warmed up to about 180F Revised 4/10/2012. Temp, pressure and other parameters are given in a larger table, online, at This data updated 4/10/2012

Evaluation of CC: 12 countries and 18 states in the USA
