Why would someone want this job? The reason someone might want this job could be that they drew at a young age, or if they want to get better at animation on a professional program or drawing on a drawing tablet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsyYLN3Nq4Q
What skills are required for this job? You would need an animation, film or illustration degree of some sort. It would also help if you have experience with 2D drawing and 2D animation. Most people who work on 2D animation are graduates , many other studios look at the strength of your work.
Personality traits for this job. Of course, you have to be creative to come up with different ideas for animation. You also need an imagination, so everything in your animation is realistic, it can also be cartoony. You also need to be patient, because you’ll mess up a lot.
Education and Training Certificate programs and associate degree programs in animation are available, most employers require that animators have at least a bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree is the most common level of education for professional animators. Example Video
Conclusion I feel like this would be a good job for someone who likes drawing or animating as a hobby. Apparently you don’t need a lot of education to become an animator, which I didn’t even know about until I made this powerpoint.
