What is Reality? Concept # 1

All Mass Media are Constructions of Reality When we read, hear, or see a product created for mass media, we are invited to see that the material presented is a representation of reality. The finished product we see is based on numerous decisions that have occurred before the product is presented to the public.

Constructing Reality To construct means to assemble or put something together. Mass Media construction means that those responsible for putting together a tv show or film or advertisement attempt to represent real life in one way or other.
