Possible factors investigated Venue Team outcomes This investigation was done to see if there is a better chance at winning a game if it is home or away. The factors that I investigated were the venues, teams, and outcomes.
My Data NHL game stats came from Kaggle Originally obtained from the NHL’s official website Information on 7,441 games Games were both playoff and regular season Season in 2013-2018 A CVS file 805 KB My data from Kaggle originally came from the NHL official website. 7,441 games were recorded. Games were either playoff or regular.
The Dataset five fields Teams: text fields Goals: number fields Penguins, devils, flyers Goals: number fields Highest number of goals in a game between 2013-2018 is 10 outcome: text field Possible outcomes include: home regular time, overtime, shoot out away regular time, overtime, shoot out Teams were divided by home and away. Goals were also divided by home and away.
