Program Design Demand shifting program designed to reduce peak loads on summer weekdays Program produces substantive and measurable impacts on peak demand Program is successful in reducing demand without changing energy consumption  “Peak Rewards is not only effective, but happens at the optimal time of day.” Vern Porter, Manager of Power Supply Operations

2005 Program Details Customers who have metered service points with >100 HP voluntarily sign up for program Pre-programmed electronic timers installed on participants pumps  Pumps automatically interrupted during peak time of 4-8 pm on predetermined weekdays Cycling period is from June 1st to August 31st  Program is available to Idaho rate 24 Agricultural Irrigation customers in 2005 Oregon customers will be eligible next year  Budget for program is $1.4 million

2005 Program Details (continued) Irrigation customers receive credit against their demand charge.  Current demand charge for irrigation customers is $4.19 / kW 1 day option credit: $2.01 / kW 2 day option credit: $2.51 / kW 3 day option credit: $2.76 / kW  Most customers should expect to see an 8% savings per service point.
