Job Performance Requirement 10-27 Advancing a Charged Hoseline Over a Ladder

A The shoulder load is laid on the left side of the ladder. JPR 10-27A

B The nozzleperson takes the nozzle and pulls it under the left armpit, across the chest, and over the right shoulder, allowing the nozzle to rest in the small of the back. JPR 10-27B

C The nozzleperson, with both hands free for climbing, begins climbing the ladder to a point about 20 feet (6 m) up and stops. The next firefighter places the hoseline over the left shoulder at the next coupling and begins to climb the ladder. The two firefighters coordinate and maintain their distance on the ladder and hose. JPR 10-27C
