Presentation transcript:

Focus ELD Standards 1 Exchanging information and ideas with others through oral collaborative conversations on a range of social and academic topics. 3 Offering and supporting opinions and negotiating with others in communicative exchanges. 5 Listening actively to spoken English in a range of social and academic contexts. 6 Reading closely literary and informational texts and viewing multimedia to determine how meaning is conveyed explicitly and implicitly through language 9 Expressing information and ideas in formal oral presentations on academic topics. 11 Supporting own opinions and evaluating others’ opinions in speaking and writing. The idea here is to narrow the focus of our integration of standards. We are recommending that to begin with, we focus on two key collaborative standards, two key interpretive standards and two key productive standards. Give participants an opportunity to look over the standards that were selected look for a common theme/idea. (Answer: many of these standards are present in a collaborative conversation among students)
