Vocabulary for King Essay acquiesce - to agree or comply with something in a passive or reserved way engulf - to surround, cover over, and swallow up somebody or something, as floodwaters do tacit - understood or implied without being stated openly succumb - to be unable to resist or oppose something anarchy - a situation in which there is a total lack of organization or control inhibited - unable to behave spontaneously or express feelings openly repudiate - to disapprove of something formally and strongly and renounce any connection with it perpetrator – a person who does something that is harmful, illegal, or dishonest malice - the intention or desire to cause harm or pain to somebody unrelenting - unyielding or unswerving in determination or resolve synthesis - the process of combining different ideas, influences, or objects into a new whole inferior - lower in quality or value passive - tending to submit or obey without arguing or resisting conscience - the sense of what is right and wrong that governs somebody's thoughts and actions
