Second Semester Tips and Guidelines
You may only have 100 outside points per year. Review As always, one needs a minimum of 150 points to be a regular member, 200 points to be a silver member, and 250 points to be a gold member You may only have 100 outside points per year.
New: Gold and Blue Points This semester you also need a minimum of 30 gold points. There is no minimum amount of blue points needed.
30 gold points = 7.5 hours of volunteering What are gold points? Gold points are any points earned through actively volunteering at events. 30 gold points = 7.5 hours of volunteering You need 30 gold points THIS SEMESTER. Points from last semester do not count towards the gold point requirement
Gold Points Gold points can be inside or outside points. There are many events to sign up for online and on the board, so acquiring 30 gold points should not be hard. Gold Points are NOT… Earned by donating money Earned by donating supplies Earned by chairing events (unless you actually volunteer at it as well) Earned by donating pop can tabs
Essentially, if it’s not a gold point, it’s a blue point. What is a blue point? Blue points are any points earned while not actively volunteering your time. Essentially, if it’s not a gold point, it’s a blue point.
Why are we adding the gold points requirement? The purpose of Key Club is to improve the school and community through our volunteering efforts. The gold points requirement encourages members to donate their time in order to help the community. Please take this as an opportunity to volunteer with your friends at Key Club events. There are always open spots online and on the board.
How do I sign up for online for events? If you have a facebook account, like the Stoney Creek Key Club page at https://www.facebook.com/schskeyclub Simply click on the link on our facebook wall for the event you’d like to volunteer for. For example, www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0E45A9AD2FA13-hugger Provide your name and show up at the event. Sign Up Genius will email you 2 days before an event to remind you
What if I’m not on facebook? The links will be posted on the Key Club website or you can email Megan D’Arcy at stoneykeyclub@gmail.com to request the link of the event you are interested in.
