throughout the whole policy cycle Joint Research Centre's Mission " As the science and knowledge service of the Commission our mission is to support EU policies with independent evidence throughout the whole policy cycle "
EURL ECVAM Established under Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes Integrating testing strategies/developing new risk assessment paradigms (avoiding use of animals) Validation of testing approaches Dissemination and application: Facilitating stakeholder dialogue International promotion and regulatory acceptance (e.g.OECD)
JRC Activities on Endocrine Disrupters Scientific criteria for the identification of endocrine disrupting substances EAG: scientific aspects, end of 2011 until the Summer of 2013 . MS representatives, NGOs, Industry. provide advice/orientation on key factors relevant to scientific criteria for the identification of endocrine disrupting substances, not specific to any regulatory framework 2) A second report related to the uncertainties in establishing thresholds of adversity for endocrine disruptors (low dose effects and NMDR) 3) collect and assess available evidence regarding endocrine disrupting effects of selected substances in a limited amount of time. The methodology was used to determine which of approximately 600 substances would be potentially categorised as ED under the following four policy options (about 10 months).
