It’s important to have the correct location of care. It is MOST IMPORTANT that the location is correct when you’re SUBMITTING THE CHARGES FOR THE VISIT. 1. You can TEMPORARILY SELECT a location from the drop down menu 2. You can HARD SET your location by clicking TOOLS  PREFERENCES, select MEDICAL RECORDS. Click the ellipsis button next to location. Search the new location, highlight it, click OK. Don’t forget it starts with SCPA (If you log out and log back in to NextGen quickly, this will “stay set”… the Scherzer maneuver!!)

3. If you make a mistake, go IMMEDIATELY to Navigation bar  Procedures, doubleclick in the white box in the lower right corner. Highlight today’s visit, then select the correct location from below. Click UPDATE. And “ok to save visit without modifiers?”  Yes. Highlight the visit. Select the correct LOCATION from the drop-down menu below. Then click UPDATE. You’re good to go! If it is still the wrong location, best bet is to bring the charge entry team cookies!
