Propaganda Biased advertisements used to make people think a certain way

Appeasement Giving into demands/letting things slide to maintain peace and avoid war

Depression A long and severe downturn in the economy.

Money loses its value and prices rise. Inflation Money loses its value and prices rise. Ex: This happened to the German money due to the high war reparations of the Versailles Treaty. Germany printed more money; making their currency worthless.

Persecution Hostility and bad treatment towards a particular group of people (usually based on race or religion)

Genocide Deliberate killing of a large group of people (usually towards a particular group based on race/religion)

Anti-Semitism Hostility or prejudice against Jews

Totalitarianism Absolute control by the government; no other opinions/parties are tolerated; dictator controls

Authoritarian right-wing system of government Elements: Identify enemies, appeal to the majority, and smash the truth to replace it with power
