The beavers in Tartu County ditches

The works planning we proceed by the following priorities 2016-2021 eliminated the direct risk of an accident or flood on ditch; Storage ditch work is done, the effect of which is located in the region land improvement system that is linked to EU co-financing; Storage work will be made in a very bad, poor and moderate (natural), and in poor condition with poor condition (heavily modified watercourses) rivers; Maintenance work priority on recipients that are recipients of cooperatives as active, as active farmers or forest owners of lands;

Expenses which are needed to improve the ecological condition of rivers West Estonian river basin – 786,6 km/ 2,9 milj € The East Estonian river basin – 895 km/ 2,4 milj € The Gauja river basin– 19 km/ 0,11 milj €

Expenses which are needed to maintain State maintainable ditches West Estonian river basin– 7,92 milj € East Estonian river basin - 5,75 milj € The Gauja river basin– 0,25 milj €

The main changes: Updating spatial shapes; Specification of the volumes of the maintenance work; maintenance work prioritizing under the new ranking; Updating of the rivers the ecological condition / potential on the basis of water management plan.
