Presentation transcript:

NASA In-flight Education Downlink On October 18, 2018, the High Plains Library District, in collaboration with the Space Science Institute’s STAR Library Network (STAR Net) and it’s NASA@ My Library initiative, hosted a live In-flight Education Downlink from the International Space Station with NASA astronaut Serena Auñón-Chancellor. The downlink event resulted in at least 90 confirmed library events and had over 16,000 live views from libraries and partner classrooms across the nation. After the live event, the NASA@ My Library team conducted several hands-on STEM activities with the 300 local Colorado school students that attended the event.
