Enough About Me, Let’s Talk About You! Activity 1: Fill out cards and switch with neighbor. Activity 2: “Ohana” Activity 3: Begin with the End in Mind!

What we do in 5th Grade… Your Basics: Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies. We READ! We make mistakes We forgive We challenge ourselves and each other We take ownership of our actions. We support and encourage each other. We learn and grow. Most importantly…we have FUN!

40 Book Challenge! The entire 5th grade has started a 40 book challenge! This is NOT a competition to see who can read the most books. This is only a “challenge” to get you to read MORE than you have before. How does it work? It encourages you to read book of different genres. It helps you become a better reader. It broadens your perspective to explore and read books of all kinds.

My Expectations Be on time for class. Always be prepared. (materials, homework, etc.) Homework is NOT an option. Respect towards me, yourself, and others is a must! Take ownership of your actions, work, and responsibilities. (studying, class helper, due dates, choices, etc.) Give your 100% best everyday!
