Indoor Pool Location Investigation
Investigation Town staff met with Bob Nash (member of committee) to discuss the potential sites within the Town for an indoor pool. The presentation was presented to the Indoor Pool committee. The decision was made to consider two sites. Both of the sites considered are on Town owned property. Virgil Sports Park
Virgil Sports Park – PRO’s Central location in the Town On transit route Walkable site – close to recreational trails Seniors and schools nearby Site already associated with sporting activities. Activities hub with arenas, baseball, tennis, soccer, playgrounds, skatepark, splashpad
Virgil Sports Park – CON’s Land locked Current parking inventory is low VBA uses the majority of the field for Stampede. Consultation with them requirement. Relocation of existing facilities to make room not practical

Community Centre
Community Centre – PRO’s Site already associated with community hub. Auditorium, gym, lawn bowling, library Adequate parking - ashphalt Walkable site Close to tourism, transit & recreational trails Can be attached or detached from existing building
