Due to a lack of available game days, we will need to play approximately 28 high school and middle school football games at a location other than Milton Frank Stadium. Since middle schools play double headers these games equate to 21 dates that will need to be scheduled at a location other than Milton Frank Stadium. There are four possible options.

Option 1 Rent the Louis Crews Stadium at AAMU Facility Rent $3500/day $73,500 Custodial $1000/day $21,000 Security $0/day $4,200 ($98,700) Parking +2000/day $42,000 Net Annual Cost ($56,700) This option may not satisfy our requirements since, absent the installation of turf, AAMU would not want to lease their facility prior to a Saturday home game.

Option 2: Pay up to $289,000 (a third of the cost) for turf at AAMU in exchange for nine years use of Louis Crew Stadium on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Facility Rent $875/day $18,375 Custodial $1000/day $21,000 Security $200/day $4,200 Turf Cost $36,125/yr $32,111 ($75,686) Parking +2000/day $42,000 Net Annual Cost ($33,686) This option is feasible and presents the lowest cost.

Option 3: Renovate Goldsmith Schiffman Stadium at a cost of $400,000 (amortized at $20,000/yr for 20 years) Renovation $13,333/year $20,000 Custodial $1,000/day $21,000 Security $200/day $4,200 Maintenance $20,000/year $20,000 ($65,200) Parking ___0___ Net Annual Cost ($65,200) There are no parking revenues associated with this option.

Option 4: Build a new stadium at a cost of $4 million amortized over 30 years Construction $133,333/year $133,333 Custodial $1,000/day $21,000 Security $200/day $4,200 Maintenance $70,000/year $70,000 ($228,533) Parking $2,000/day $42,000 Net Cost $186,533 This option would not provide an alternative venue for at least 18 months.
