Scope of History → to narrate what happened Scopes means the areas covered by the subject. 1.General dimension (covering area of The subject History) → to narrate what happened → to discuss how it happened → to analyze why it happened 2. Two areas of scope of function History has mainly two functions to perform. ☻ Collection of data ☻ Interpretation of data (to explain the fundamental forces of history)

Scope of History in 21st century The scope of history includes all activities of man It looks beyond religion to folklore and the arts, look beyond government to people, and look beyond laws to legend. Common man and his life now attracting the attention of historian and also covered as one of the major scope of history. Study of economic change, social change and cultural change gaining importance Studying nature also comes within the scope of history.
