Lesson 2 Grammar Adverbs

Los perros usualmente no llevan ropa. Adverbs modify verbs. They describe the time, place or manner that the action takes place. Most English adverbs end in –ly. Los perros usualmente no llevan ropa. Dogs don’t usually wear clothes. Usually describes when the action takes place. Las muchachas están hablando rápidamente. The girls are talking rapidly. Rapidly describes how the action takes place.

Many adverbs are formed from the singular femenine form of an adjective + mente. Adjective Adverb Meaning Correcta Correctamente Correctly Lenta Lentamente Slowly Estúpida Estupidamente Stupidly
