CAKE Q3 Major accidents 1

CAKE in practice : A new movie will be sent offshore on a memory stick, but can also be downloaded from hms-kultur.no. The movie is for the general safety meeting – major accident risk. The movie last for 2.5 minutes. CAKE Q3 will be divided into two parts. Part 1 includes a short presentation to sum up input from CAKE Q2. Part 2 involves a practical assignment for each department to complete. We recommend that the CAKE Q3 presentation is done in combination with the CAKE movie for Q3. New CAKE posters with Q3 theme to display on the rig Approximately mid August we will send out a practical assignment for each department, which we recommend to be done in crew safety meetings. The assignment will consist of a department-specific ”worst case scenario”. As a part of the worst case scenario assignment, the crew will place stickers explaining several silent deviations and reasons for not saying stop in different positions in their scenario to see which consequences there will be in the chainreaction towards a major accident. Strong man competition - the best improvement team on each rig will be revealed and a travelling trophy will be sent to the rig with the absolute best improvement. Present yearly plan for emergency drills onshore together with each rig.
