7 main issues to be discussed by the TF (2/3) Content Order Outcomes of the present data collection Outcomes from the e-mail exchanges between ESTAT and countries through 2011 AES project 1 and 2 Outcomes of the recent data release on EUROBASE 1 Review of quality reports (non-response, proxy, post-coding issues, qualitative comments…) 2 Other suggestions from the delegates (reporting of national problems not included in the national quality reports) Review of the topics to be covered by the 2016 AES EU needs, content to be provided by different stakeholders DG EAC, users, etc… in the context of modernisation of social statistics Review of the list of AES variables Link with CVTS, adjustments required to provide indicators on CVT Outcomes from the B1 and B2 actions within the 2011 AES grants (interlink with LFS variables) and harmonisation of educational variables across all EU surveys [1] Frequency increase for some variables Possible impact of the modernisation of social statistics 1, 2 and 3 [1] Along with the regular 2011 AES data collection, two pilot testing actions were suggested in order to reinforce the coherence between AES and LFS. - Action B1 focused on the questions on participation in formal and non-formal education terminology and the use of the CLA. - Action B2 focused on the reference period (12 months instead of 4 weeks). 25-26 April 2013 Eurostat Education and Training Statistics Working Group - Luxembourg, 25-26 April 2013

Inputs by countries which implemented the option for the 2011 AES data collection 1 and 2 Reduction of the data collection time-frame Eurostat's proposal and related implementing issues (with respect to other constraints) Draft Regulation EU recommendations in terms of sample requirements [2] 1, 2 and 3 Adjustment of the legal act in the light of technical items discussed beforehand Draft Articles of the revised legal act Reference documents and Classification of Learning Activities Main guidelines to be put in a set of reference documents (manual, code book, …) 3 [2] A EUROSTAT procedure is on-going in order to harmonise the regulation articles on this matter. 25-26 April 2013 Eurostat Education and Training Statistics Working Group - Luxembourg, 25-26 April 2013
