Presentation transcript:

Dershem’s 5th Grade Blast #18 Fifth Grade Connections Math Fact Tests For the remainder of the school year, those students who are not yet secure in their basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication or division) will be given a weekly quiz for 1 math fact on Mondays. Please be sure that each night your child is reviewing these facts in order for them to progress towards mastery. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. We Want Books!!! In a few weeks, the boxes will be arriving with the sets of books we worked to raise money for! We have 50 different book titles which amounts to 300 books. Students will be helping to bag these books and prep them for our school’s literacy library! Each student will also be writing thank you letters to all of the donors who contributed! Areas of Concern Homework completion is starting to slip across the board. Please be sure students are remaining strong in following through with their responsibilities. Also, this week, I caught a few students who had been taking their planner home having not copied their homework assignments. This is an unacceptable action on their parts. I have spoken to these students and they understand that this is my way of communicating with their parents and they are to be sure the message is delivered. Technology If your child would like to bring in their own mouse and ear buds to use with their Chromebooks, they are welcome to with your permission. Only your child will use them. These will not be shared. Quote of the Week: Supplies Please take a look or ask at your child’s supplies to see if they have any items they might need replenished for the remainder of the year.
