Non-removable links A non-removable link is one that cannot be removed without damaging the pieces that have been combined
Removable links A removable link is one that can be removed: the linked parts can be separated without damaging the object’s parts.
Complete links Complete links are a type of link that do not allow any movement
Partial links Partial links are a type of link that allow the parts to move
Guiding control A guiding control is a device that controls the motion of a technical object’s moving parts. Type of guiding control Translational guiding control Rotational guiding control Helical guiding control
Translational guiding control Control direct parts that need to travel in a straight line only
Rotational guiding control Control directs parts as they turn or rotate
Helical guiding control Direct the motion of a part around and along an axis
