HOUSEHOLD TIPS IN SAVING ENERGY (Wastong Pagtitipid ng Enerhiya o Elektrisidad sa ating Pamamahay) A Power Point Presentation of GROUP 3

HOUSEHOLD LIGHTING

-Turn off lights in any room not being used. -Turn off fluorescent lights and removes its starter or bulb when it starts to blink.

-Clean lamps or bulbs regularly to get more light. Dirt diminishes illumination by as much as 50%. -Save on lighting energy through decorating. Light colors for walls, rugs, draperies and upholstery reflect light and therefore reduce the amount of artificial light required.

-Gas discharge lamps (mercury, fluorescent, or sodium) are more efficient than incandescent lamps. -Light-zone your home. Concentrate lighting in reading and working areas and where it’s needed for safety.

-Use lamp with correct voltage. -Change ballast when fluorescent lights continue to blink even when switched off.
