What Is “The Faith”? The Word of God. Acts 13:5-8 The Doctrine of Christ. Acts 13:12 The Gospel. Galatians 1:11, 23

What Is “The Faith”? Something that can be delivered. Jude 3; cf. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Something that was revealed. Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 3:2-8; cf. 1 Peter 1:10-12 Something that was preached. Galatians 1:23; cf. Romans 10:8

What Is “The Faith”? Something that could be obeyed. Acts 6:7; Romans 1:5 Something that could be established. Acts 16:5; Colossians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 16:13 Something one can depart from. 1 Timothy 4:1; 6:10; 2 Timothy 4:10 Something that must be contended for. Jude 3; Philippians 1:27

“Contend” epagœnísomai: “To fight for or in reference to something.” (The Complete Word Study Dictionary) “To exert intense effort on behalf of something – ‘to struggle for.’ to encourage you to struggle for the … Faith.” (Greek-English Lexicon Based on Semantic Domain.)
