Jo was a volunteer from Australia who worked in PNG for two years.

What do you think of the life in the village according to Jo’s description? Their life is poor, simple, agricultural, primitive(原始的)and self-sufficient. What did Jo think of her visit and the day spent with Tombe’s family? Why did she think so? She considered it a privilege as she was warmly welcomed and had a close contact with them, feeling their hospitality(好客) and sincerity(真诚) although she couldn’t understand their language.
