Mrs. Marin MATH NEWS SCIENCE___ Language Arts WRITING Students will continue to explore nonfiction text features and structures in this TC unit. The students will analyze text to find problem/solution, main idea/supporting details, and comparing and contrasting. The students will begin reading and analyzing biographies of many famous people! We are enjoying reading Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White. The students are so excited to be discovering new experiments and concepts in our Matter and Motion Module. We just made twirly birds and investigated how changing the variable will change the motion and movement of their creation.  The students have turned into engineers to build and create various structures to hands on learn about forces and motion.  Mrs. Marin 3/15-Half Day & Green Day! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! WRITING The students are continuing to write R.S.T. (Research Simulation Tasks) essays. We continue to use our binders, notes, and Chrome Books to help publish our final drafts! We are truly becoming great writers! MATH NEWS We are busy learning about fractions!  We are practicing using manipulatives, fraction cards, books, and number lines to help us better understand the concepts. We are busy comparing fractions and finding equivalent fractions. Please use your flashcards, games, and log on to Dream Box to help strengthen math skills each day!
