English Bell Ringers Week #15

Monday’s Corrections Did those special packages Prof. Chang ordered arrive safely? They were hungry and tired after helping Jessie and me build a treehouse. The preposition in the sentence is “with”. Quick as a wink is a simile. The words that are not spelled correctly are histry and apolugy.

Tuesday’s Corrections shark: fish; koala: marsupial The abbreviation for “pound” is lb. 3. They’re not taking class pictures until Wednesday at 1:45. “You can’t make me do anything I don’t want to do!” yelled Mitchell. 5. Leapt is the past tense.

Wednesday’s Corrections That greedy little child drank all the cold lemonade they had. Terry’s brother’s afraid of the dark, so his mom gave him a flashlight. Pencils, pens, and computer are all used to record information. Lawyer and lax would not be found on the page with the guide words “laundry” and “lawn”. 5. Always answers the question “to what extent”.

Thursday’s Corrections Misunderstood has a prefix. Knife is the singular form of knives. Alice, who lived next door, went to a different school. 4. “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost is my mother’s favorite poem. 5. Group and individual are antonyms.

Friday’s Corrections Raining cats and dogs means very heavy rainfall. Singing his praises means saying nice things about him. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch means don’t count on something before it happens or don’t spend your money before you have it. As quiet as a mouse means very quietly or making no noise at all. A wild goose chase means looking for something that was never there.
