Week 2: September 1 Reminder The project proposal is due September 23 Start looking for a data set. Thursday (9/4) we will meet in Stipes 322. Hand-in Assignment 1 Due Thursday September 11 Problem 1.128 a) for graphical description use Histogram with 7 intervals of width 2 ([14-16 ), [16-18),…) and report the mean, standard deviation and the five number summary.

Week 9: October 20 Project interim report due date is pulled back one week. The new due date is Thursday November 6. The second Exam is on Thursday October 30.

Week 10: October 27 The second exam is on Thursday October 30. It will cover Chapters 3, 4 and 5. To prepare for the exam go over the lecture notes, practice problem handouts, and the homework problems assigned. There are two sample exams on the course webpage.
