Open Sketch Up 2017 View: Toolbars: Mark Large Tool Set Template 3D printing: Millimeters Start Using Sketch Up View: Toolbars: Mark Large Tool Set 1. Choose the rectangle tool and begin to drag and pull from the corner (X,Y,Z 0 corner) 2. Dimensions: type in 60,20 (which will make your rectangle 60mm long and 20mm wide) 3. Use the zoom tool to enlarge the view of your rectangle and the pan tool to center your object as necessary 4. Create a guideline using the tape measure tool at the 60mm edge (x axis) of your rectangle from the midpoint on the Y axis (green) in 6mm. 5. Use the circle tool to create a circle with 24 sides and a radius of 2mm centered on the guideline and midpoint 6. Use the cursor (arrow tool) to highlight the top surface of the circle blue (dots) not the perimeter and then use the eraser tool to delete the top of the circle. (This should make an empty circle on your keychain) 7. Use the orbit tool to check underneath your object that the circle has gone all the way through to the endpoint. 8. Select the surface of your rectangle and use the push/pull tool to adjust the height of your keychain to 4mm 9. Use the 3D text tool to type your first name (height 8mm,2mm). DO NOT CHANGE THE FONT OR USE NICKNAMES. Move accordingly to place and center. 10. Use the arrow tool to highlight the MAKERBOT template box in blue. Once it is blue use the eraser tool to delete the template box before saving. File: Save As: Computer: Removable Disk or Local Disk (D):Open Keychain (first initial last initial) 7A or 7B Ex. KeychainLD7A Save File: Save As: This PC: scroll down: click on USB Drive (D):Open Keychain (first initial last initial) 7A or 7B
