The Natura 2000 Partner Award Scheme Aims To recognise excellence in: integrated management of Natura 2000 sites promotion of Natura 2000 support for Natura 2000 To encourage positive engagement in Natura 2000 To help promote Natura 2000 How will it work? Natura 2000 Partner Member States confer title of Natura 2000 Partner using agreed criteria Member States recognise Natura 2000 Partners of the Year nationally EC will select the best and award European Natura 2000 Partners of the Year Features Pan-EU - common criteria Flexible – Member States can adapt the model Costs kept to a minimum Awardees can benefit from the kudos – a seal of approval Example award logo showing how a ‘Natura 2000 Partner’ might display their status on a website
