A – analysis The explanation and elaboration of how/why the evidence is relevant the point The analysis is YOUR explanation of the information (written in own words)

S – summarize Concluding sentence that reiterates the main points developed throughout the paragraph Signals to the reader that the ideas in this paragraph have ended (allows for easy transition to next paragraph) Should highlight key points in the paragraph while also tying it back to the topic
