Fronts When two air masses meet they form a boundary called a front.

Warm Front When warm air moves into an area previously covered by cold air.

Cold Front When cold dense air moves into an area previously occupied by warmer air.

Stationary Front When the surface position of the front does not move we call it a stationary front.

Occluded Front When an active cold front takes over a warm front.

Middle- Latitude Cyclones Large centers of lower pressure that generally travel from west to east causing stormy weather.
