The Ride Copyright © 2010 by Gamehinge Molly couldn’t find her homework. She looked everywhere. Now she was going to be late. Molly ran to the front door. The school bus was driving away. Now she might miss school. Molly didn’t want to wake her mother. She had worked late last night. Anyway, the car had a flat tire.

Molly thought for a long time Molly thought for a long time. Then she grabbed the phonebook and looked up Taxicabs in the yellow pages. Molly found the number for Five Stars Taxicab Company. She picked up the phone and called the number. Ten minutes later she heard a car horn beep outside her house. Soon Molly was on her way to school.

The taxi ride would cost money. She wondered how she would pay The taxi ride would cost money. She wondered how she would pay. She decided to use her lunch money to pay the taxi driver. Molly was late. But at least her mother wouldn’t be mad because she missed school.
