Building Trust The core of communication is developing trust. Establish acceptable standards of behavior to eliminate confusion Live up to your commitments Respect confidentiality

Equip yourself and your team with as much knowledge as you can Sharing Knowledge Knowledge is POWER Equip yourself and your team with as much knowledge as you can Show your team how all the pieces of the pictures fit together Demonstrate how the team makes a difference to the members Train others

Providing Feedback People need to know where they stand. Let team members know what is required of them Tell them how they’re doing as a team Be honest, but also respectful

Lead by Example We have to walk our talk personally and professionally People watch everything you do You are always leading Everything counts

What happens when communication goes wrong? Let’s say someone criticizes you for not communicating effectively… Be the bigger person Talk it out to rebuild trust Don’t just leave the situation alone! Do something about it!
