Hard Power, Soft Power & Smart POWER

What are hard, soft & smart power? Kinds of interventions that are designed to bring about change.

Hard power Refers to the use of force and threats of force to influence decision making of those in charge.

soft power Lies more in the realm of negotiation, promises of aid, cooperation and other non-military means of influencing change.

Smart power Combination of hard & soft power, the ability to use both when called for, or one ir the other when necessary.
