19 September 2014 Do now: Write a min. of 4 full lines explaining why the United States celebrates Columbus Day. Today, I will be able to define the Columbian Exchange. I will begin to fill in an organizer to help me on my first writing assignment. I will begin independent research on the following topic: Did the Columbian Exchange enrich or harm the world? Show me assignments that were not done in time to receive a check-minus. Complete the organizer by using the reading 52-55. Writing assignment is due next Thursday 25 September 2014

Discussion pts Explain the Viking interaction with the ppl of the Arctic and Subarctic regions. Why is there little discussion of Asian and European contact with the Americas prior to 1492?
