Slope from 2 points I will be able to find the slope of a line when given two points. I will beat my partner in math Tic-Tac-Toe!

Say we are given 2 points: (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) Slope is still m= 𝑅𝑖𝑠𝑒 𝑅𝑢𝑛 Rise= y2-y1 Run= x2-x1 m= 𝑦 2 − 𝑦 1 𝑥 2 − 𝑥 1 All any of this means is: Subtract the first y from the second y Then subtract the first x from the second Then divide the new y by the new x!

Example 1 (3,15) and (5,25)

Example 2 (-10, 4) and (8, 3)

Example 3 (3,10) and (4, 9.5)

Example 4 (5,3) and (18,3)

5 0 −8 0 𝐴𝑁𝑌 𝑁𝑈𝑀𝐵𝐸𝑅 0 m=0 VS m=undefined 0 7 0 −3 0 𝐴𝑁𝑌 𝑁𝑈𝑀𝐵𝐸𝑅 m=0 means our graph is a flat line going left to right! We get m=0 from a problem like 0 7 0 −3 0 𝐴𝑁𝑌 𝑁𝑈𝑀𝐵𝐸𝑅 m=Undefined means our graph is going Up and down. We get m=undefined from a problem like 5 0 −8 0 𝐴𝑁𝑌 𝑁𝑈𝑀𝐵𝐸𝑅 0
