Operationalizing the Rapid Needs Assessment tool in the Mosul Response - VISION -

Session Objectives Discuss the implementation framework of the RNA, with particular focus on the West- and East Mosul responses. Potential outcomes at the end of this session: Clarity on usage of RNA in West Mosul Clarity on usage of RNA in villages Clarity on usage and operational timeline of RNA in East Mosul .

RNA Implementation in West Mosul and Villages RNA to be used, in coordinated fashion: Whenever new neighborhood or area is retaken/access is possible. For any additional ad hoc rapid multi-sectoral assessments. .

RNA Implementation in East Mosul AWG will coordinate joint RNA assessment of neighborhoods in East Mosul Urgent need for comparative snapshot of humanitarian situation at neighborhood level in East Mosul. Need ability to rank severity among neighborhoods Access has improved. .

RNA Implementation in East Mosul How will it work? AWG provides training this afternoon Interested partners divide neighborhoods, based on their capacity Partners collect data in field AWG (OCHA, REACH) to guide data collection process, data cleaning, and support outputs. .

RNA Implementation in East Mosul Proposed timeline: Today: AWG to share map of neighborhoods for partners to define neighborhoods of interest by Tuesday COB Wednesday-Thursday: AWG liaises with interested parties to prepare data collection and answer final questions Sunday 26 March: Data collection starts, to be finalized by Thursday 1 April Thursday 6 April: Findings shared at ICCG and with partners .
