University of Linköping is located some 200 km south of Stockholm. LiU University of Linköping is located some 200 km south of Stockholm. Became a university 1975 LiU has 25000 students and 3500 employees. LiU has 3 main campuses – 2 in Linköping and 1 in Norrköping (40 km from Linköping)

Studentportal launched 1 July 1999. LiU Studentportal launched 1 July 1999. Project: Build the framework for a Portal with focus on Selfservice and administration Contains: Registration (for classes and programs), Credits, Exam-registration and more Homegrown, written in Perl Launched an pilot “Employee-portal” – myLiU 1 June 2002. Uses uPortal as its application framework.

Launched an pilot “Employee-portal” – myLiU 1 June 2002. Limited user base (approx 200-300) Uses uPortal as its application / presentation framework. Main purpose of implementation was two applications: Academic merits portfolio and Virtual Project office Launch-project is underway spring 2003.

LiUPass – Stores passwords and provide authentication Provides Singe-Sign-On to some systems The problem of different vendors different SSO systems

Project will deliver its result before 31 august 2003. LiU Studentportal version 2. We have launched a project that will explore the possibility to integrate the old Perl code (using http) into uPortal and start using the uPortal framework as primary platform instead. Connection to LiUPass Project will deliver its result before 31 august 2003.
