Work Session: Lesson 2 – A Spatial Way of Thinking – pgs. 24-39 Read 2.1 – Introduction – pg. 25 & 2.2 – The Geographic Setting – pg. 26 – individually Complete GeoTerms (pg. 27) in your Geography Notebook just like we did for Lesson 1 – individually Complete a Word Picture for one GeoTerm of your choice – individually Begin Sections 3-8 (pgs. 28-39) to correspond with the packet – with your partner using the paired reading strategy Essential Question(s): Why do geographers use a variety of maps to represent the world? Closing Cool-down: Create an online dating profile for at least two thematic maps. What’s so good about them that “attracts” geographers to using them?
