I. Preparation for the Birth of the Church (1:1–26) A. Jesus instructs His disciples (1:1–8) 1. Wait for the Promised One (1:1–5) 2. Bear witness of Jesus (1:6–8) B. Jesus ascends to Heaven (1:9–11) C. God chooses a new apostle (1:12–26)

II. Establishment of the Church through the Gospel (2:1–47) A. The Holy Spirit comes (2:1–13) B. Peter explains the gospel (2:14–36) C. People respond to the gospel (2:37–47) 1. Immediate response (2:37–41) 2. Ongoing response (2:42–47)

The fruits of the Spirit will be evident in your life. You will be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading. You will be convicted of your sin and seek God’s forgiveness. You will give God the glory for ministry success. You will live with humble dependence on God.
