Presentation transcript:

Review Group 177 Rolling AQ

Issues with current AQ process Current process requires significant manpower in a short space of time Number of uncalculated is an issue Changing AQ outside the amendment window is slow Using the confirmation process increases the time to amend AQ Change in confirmation number each time the AQ is amended through this route Leads to a large step change on 1st October that has to be managed Significant movement post 1st October that would be better if smoothed across the year Theme Date Department

Benefits identified AQ would be more responsive to demand changes Minimises selective targeting of reads and therefore removes gaming opportunities Spreads the workload through the year and allows timing to be Shipper led Theme Date Department

Things to discuss for rolling AQ Year round manpower for phased AQ changes? Less or more manpower Automatic validation? How would we be notified? Time to validate and agree? AQ drives SOQ and therefore capacity charges Would the 20% margin for not challenging AQ be retained What about ‘must read’ policy to ensure recalculation? What about changes within the first six months of ownership? Theme Date Department
