THE #41 PLACE WHERE CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IS WORST Despite being a majority Christian country, persecution is still a problem in Mexico. The inequality in Mexico has driven many people to become involved in organised crime. In many places gangs or cartels wield power over officials and institutions including the Church. Violence appears to be escalating in Mexico with the number of internally displaced people rising from 8,000 in 2009 to 287,000 in 2015.
PRAY FOR OUR PERSECUTED FAMILY Pray for the hearts of those involved in drug cartels to be opened to the Gospel. Pray for provision for the Christians in Mexico who cannot access services or have been banished from their communities. Pray for the protection of believers living in dangerous areas in Mexico.
