Conclusion and Recommendations The results show that the TGA and furnace methods are very comparable. The TGA method can therefore be used for proximate analysis. Although some results show some discrepancies, they are within ISO reproducibility limits and thus acceptable. TGA needs less human intervention, thus mitigate human error contribution on the accuracy of the analysis and give an analyst time to do other laboratory work. SANS committee should consider developing a standard for TGA. 10-May-19
