Drop off and Pick Up -Drop off begins at 7:30am. This is when a teacher will be on duty. -Go to breakfast or the gym. -School starts at 8:00. Children are counted as tardy at 8:01 - Attendance is taken at 10:00. -Dismissal is 3:30. -Students may ride the bus if they have a club or sibling at the Kramer campus. -Please notify student’s teacher if you are going to be late. -Let your student’s teacher know if there are any changes in how they will be picked up.

Tribes Agreements and Community Circle Tribe Agreements: Attentive Listening Mutual Respect Right to Pass Appreciations-No Put Downs Community Circle is a time we spend as a class sharing thoughts and ideas that help build a strong classroom community.
Learning Goals and Scales Each learning goal will have a scale to help the students achieve mastery. Level 3 is mastery of a topic. Level 4 show a deeper understanding of the topic. Level 2 is students’ ability to work with a learning goal using teacher assistance. STAAR Test: Writing-April 10th Math-May 14 Reading May 15
HOMEWORK -Read 20+ minutes every night -Work on math facts -Complete assignments from the teacher -Papers that need to be filled out -Incomplete work If it takes more than 20 minutes for them to complete an assignment and your child is frustrated. STOP...write us a note. We will discuss with the student the following day.
How can I help? There are many ways to support your child and classroom teacher: -Join NYOS PTA! -Volunteer in the classroom or at school events -Bring in items for your teacher’s wish list -Join us on a field trip -Help prepare learning materials -Share your talents with the students -Return completed papers within the next day
