Advantages for Differentiated Instructions

Self Pacing Students continue through curriculum at own pace. Allows for deeper mastery of objectives. More buy in from students if they can select their own topics

Curriculum Compacting Utilizes pre tests Reduces opportunities for underachievement due to boredom Increases students self esteem to see a faster pace Students buy in when they have a choice in the output

Continuous Progress Students who demonstrate mastery move on to next years curriculum Can reduce student boredom by continuing to challenge them. Allows for teachers to develop long term relationships with students and parents. More trust from home to school.

Enrichment When finished an assignment they may chose how to continue or build upon it. Students have some choice and develop unique products. Allows students to demonstrate their own personal talents or strengths.
