Questions 1-4 (of 15) What is the name of the protagonist and how old is he? In what city is the story set? Specifically, what was the protagonist’s role in the crime for which he was charged? What is the name of the prosecutor and what charge is she going for?

Questions 5-7 (of 15) What is the name of the person primarily responsible for the crime committed? Specifically describe what happened. What is the last name of the convenience store owner? Is the main conflict of this story internal or external? Specifically, what type of conflict is it?

Questions 8-10 (of 15) What was the date the crime was committed and in which city did it occur? What did the protagonist’s attorney believe about the jury? Who visited the protagonist on July 9 and what did they talk about?

Questions 11-13 (of 15) What advice did the protagonist’s lawyer give him regarding his journal? What did the protagonist say he was doing while the crime was being committed? How did the protagonist’s lawyer respond to the verdict?

Questions 14-15 (of 15) What happened to the other person who was on trial? How does the protagonist’s dad respond to his son now that the trial is over?

Bonus Question What does the protagonist imagine happens to him after the detectives question him at the 28th precinct?
