Unit 0 Logistics

Logistics Welcome! Information about me https://cs.nyu.edu/kedem/ We will use NYU Classes Please read, understand, and follow 2433.pdf in the Resources section on NYU Classes. This file serves as the syllabus for the class You are expected to completely follow the Academic Integrity section; if anything is unclear, please send me email If you do not want to have a response to your email delayed follow the procedure/requests in the Email section Please read Status.pdf in the Resources section regularly on Friday of each week in which the class meets It lists what we covered and what you should know It may assign readings and additional minor tasks, which are not part of the homework assignments; they may include reading parts of the presentations that we did not cover in class

Logistics We will work with PowerPoint presentations They are extremely detailed so that you do not need a textbook Of course, if anything needs to be elaborated on, please ask The material in the presentation is more than we can cover in one semester But I will clearly list what you need to know in Status.pdf on NYU Classes I will bring to the class printouts of all the lectures and some of the other material posted on NYU Classes for those who would like to have them, including all the PowerPoint presentations

Logistics We will have homework assignments “shadowing” the lectures Please read the assignments carefully and be sure to submit your solution in the format specified Please make sure that you have a CIMS computer account in addition to your NYU account, as you will need it in order to use Oracle on CIMS servers to download Microsoft Access, which is optional To get a CIMS account, if you do not have one, please follow the instructions in https://cims.nyu.edu/webapps/content/systems/userservices/accounts/obtain
