King Haakon the 7th Norwegian monarchy is the only monarchy in the world elected by the people!!

King of Norway Haakon was the king of Norway from 1905 to 1957 and he was baptized Christian Frederik Carl Georg Valdemar Axel, but went under the name of Carl and Prince of Denmark. He changed his name to Haakon when he was elected king of Norway after the dissolution. Carl became King of Norway, before his father and older brother were the kings of Denmark.

A really long statue of the king..  Haakon VII statue on 7 June-place in Oslo, the sculptor was unveiled on the 100th anniversary of King's birth, regarded as a major work of Norwegian sculpture in the postwar period.
